2-Nitro-5-Phenyl Mercapto Aniline

2-Nitro-5-Phenyl Mercapto Aniline is a pharmaceutical grade compound that is commonly used in synthesis of pharmaceutical products and organic dyes. It has a molecular formula of C12H10N2O2S. This highly pure nitroaniline derivative with a thiol (-SH) group attached to the phenyl ring in position 5. It is available in powdered form with high purity of up to 95 percent. 2-Nitro-5-Phenyl Mercapto Aniline is less soluble in water but shows good soluble in organic solvents. It can also be used as a reagent in preparation of various heterocyclic compounds, such as thiazoles and benzothiazoles.
